I am a huge fan of Nicole Williams’ books.  (Kind of hard to ever forget Jude!)

Rowan Sterling was the Lucky Girl who would be spending her summer up to her knees in "rural” in Hicksville, USA.
Rowan is a troubled, rebellious teenager with huge attitude problem. Because of her attitude and drug use, her mother shipped her off to a friend’s ranch in Willow Springs, Montana for some good old hard work. Rowan needs to prove to her mother that she can be responsible enough to go to art school.
There is nothing like getting up at 4 A.M every day to cook breakfast for 20 farm hands to build character.

Jesse Walker is a tight jean wearing, country music listening, philosophizing cowboy.
The Walker family accepts Rowan for who she is no questions asked.  She is thrown off her normal path, no one ever accepts her for her.
Jesse goes toe to toe with Rowan never backing down from her smart mouth, handing it right back to her with the same force.
Jesse and his family show Rowan that love is truly unconditional. The character that Rowan ends up building is one she already has; the Walker’s just grants her the ability to unleash who she really is.

During her time in Hicksville, Rowan makes friends that she would never have even considered talking to before. She also discovers who she really is and who she wants to be.
