I think of all the Rock Chick books this is my favorite one by far!

KA never ever disappoints!

I have enjoyed all of the "Rock Chicks" books and I love every character for their own reasons, but Ren and Ally are my favorite.

All the loveable usual suspects are here again! I love how the book jumps forward but still fills in the story line.  You learn more about others as well as Ren and Ally's story.

This is my first true M/M book.  Does this mean I am a prude or I don't enjoy them? Hell No!

It just means this is the first book that I have gotten to read.  I read this as a group read with a diverse group of veteran readers. This made reading this book, even more of a magnificent experience.

Jamie is a young straight (?) guy that ends up in trouble and Evan saves him. Although Evan is not a true Dom, he is unquestionably into Power Play. There is a good bit of kink and medical kink involved between them, some dirty, some just HOT! And OH MY does Evan go into great detail of what he is going to do to Jamie. A lot of the sex scenes are creative non-penetrating sex. HOLY HELL Evan’s mouth alone could make my Kindle melt!

So...another blogger had a contest. Maybe you have heard of it “NA Crush Tournament” (http://www.naalley.com/2013/06/na-crush-tourney-heroes-list-and.html)

Well long story short Kellen Kyle won the entire thing (not really surprising to me). Reading the blog made me want to re-read the books… ok the whole series. And damn it, I sat and did just that. Zombie’d out like I had never read the entire series before.

So if a series is enthralling enough for me to re-read it surely is deserving of a full series review.

Here we go…

             Love triangle at its best!

1. Denny although he is a little selfish, he is a good guy, he has a great accent, he is good looking; their relationship has an off-white kind of heat to it. You know the kind with no real passion, he is safe, comfortable, easy no stress.

2. Kellen Kyle is broken and not in just a bad boy way, but a shattered soul. He is also RED HOT, like face of the sun during a solar flare hot! Kellan is a rocking Sex God that spurs fire deep inside her; he grabs her attention shortly after he sees Kiera. His one HUGE flaw... dude is a whore... in the worst way. And he uses that for more than sex... even a little revenge.

3. Kiera is naive, sheltered and has followed Denny to Seattle. This has led her directly into the path of the lead singer of the D-Bags Kellen Kyle. She thinks not telling someone she is in love with someone else saves them from heart breaking pain. This action put in place a string of reactions that almost destroys everyone involved, friends, family and lovers.

I will tell you that a cup of coffee has never been as sexy as it is in this book. 

 This book that doesn't feel rushed at all, character development is solid and evolving. You can watch as the changes in words, actions and feelings developed. The indecision that Kiera faces daily in her heart; she takes a path that is unknown and heart breaking. You can feel the confusion for the three; can you really split yourself in half? She almost does.

The heat this book has is amazing, the sex scenes are honest and believable... and maybe at times a little raw.

           But in the end of book one,

           Who would you choose???

           Comfort or Pure Fire?

You know you have yourself a great series when you love the second book as much as the first.

In book two…

When you build a fire on an unsteady ground how can you contain the heat?

The second book starts seamlessly from Thoughtless.

Kellen and Kiera built their relationship on lies, hurt and hiding. How strong of a foundation can this be to start a real life? This is a problem that plagues their entire life, neither trusts the other. How can you trust someone with your heart and soul, when you have crushed each other over and over again? 

The D-bags have become a bigger hit. Matt has worked hard and the have gotten them put on a nationwide tour. Now knowing that Kiera and he got together because Denny left her behind, he is a little more than worried about leaving her. Kellen finally has her and doesn't want to lose her again. 

So he gets creative with how he lets her know he loves her… truly loves her in his soul.

What a better way for a creative writer to express himself than to leave little love notes… everywhere.

Seriously! How can you not fall in love with a guy that leaves you notes like this?

“But, if for some reason we're not closer, if something has gotten between us, please, I'm begging you…don't give up on me. Stay. Stay with me. Work it out with me. Just don't leave me…please.”

Ok did you hear that... yup that was me sighing! 

This is why I believe men should read these books.. Seriously... dudes clue in... this is what some women want. Stop saying you have no idea and pick up a damn book! 

Now add trust issues to a return of Denny to Seattle and times that with Kiera not telling Kellen about it.
This would equal a HUGE F-UP of devastating proportions. Can they ever get over this?

Kiera needs to grow up and let the past go…

In the third and final book (I still can hear hearts breaking everywhere)

The D-Bags have started to record their first album in LA!  Kiera heads to LA with the D-Bags to be with Kellen. But a new issues have wedged themdelves in between them. Can the D-Bags find their HEA?!!

As I have said before, I am a huge fan of Jennifer's books and her series'. She is an imaginative novelist and I look forward to her books.

She has just the correct amount of torment to make it an intense story. Her humor and smart ass comments keep me laughing through the book.


Most of us have fallen in love with our best friend at one point in our lives. Syd is not different; she is in love with and has always been in love with Kyler.
Sydney is meek and small; she does her best to stay under the radar. She never seeks out the spotlight. Kyler is her exact opposite; he is always looking for attention usually in a woman.



This book is set in a winter wonderland, where even the most closed off person has no choice but to open up.

They get stuck in a cabin together in the middle of nowhere during a snowmageddon.

Now let’s add way too many shots of Ta-Kill-Ya and Syd gets 10 feet tall and bulletproof! Syd makes a move on Kyler in her drunken state and trying to be a gentleman he puts a stop to it. Causing Syd to question herself in all the way a girl never should. Her ex has basically made her think she is unwanted and un-sexy, now with Kyler’s refusal she now believes she is that and worse.

Eventually Kyler accepts Syd’s advances, although he is not happy about what she wants.
He believes she deserves more that a quick fuck and turned loose.

See... Kyler has always been in love with Syd and he wants to be with her desperately. But he knows she should have better than him.

Can their friendship survive their love?

Oh Levi, Levi what will we do without you!

So many spirals in this story you don’t know what is going on. What a way to finish a series! You think you know who is bad and who is not… good luck with that!

Boy did Toby throw me for a loop!

This book picks up right where we left off. All the stress from the pending wedding, Levi’s Dad, Toby kidnapping Jess is taking a toll on Allie. 

Allie goes to visit Georgiana, Levi's grandmother for help with the Pteron issues. Now Grandma is a character, she is a force to reckon with!  That woman is in charge of everything and everyone, and she is Allie’s best partner in crime! Georgiana is able to help Allie in a way that no one else knows how too. She helps with understanding her love for Levi, her father in law and the crazy Pteron attraction.

(Spoiler Alert) The cave scene is romantic and HOTT!  

Now what I didn't see coming was Toby. By far that was the largest shocker in this series. Who knew he was a true good guy!

Also, look at little Allie making friends with other Pteron Families to rescue Jess and Elliott. 

The drama, the suspense and the love that is in these books make this a must read paranormal/supernatural romance series.

I love a good book about a Military man. This was a GREAT one!
Brilliant debut novel by Harper Sloan.

You fall in love with the idea of Izzy and Axel in the first few pages. Then your heart shatters in a billion pieces for Izzy. Her life was on a great path; she had true love, great parents and a wonderful future. Then in a flash it came crashing down around her.

After her world stops spinning, she marries a complete ass-hat, Brandon that uses Izzy for whatever he feels like. You hate Brandon in about .0002 seconds. 

Her best friend, Denise comes to the rescue and yanks Izzy out of the HELL she now survives in. 

“Cut off from those I loved and so terrified of his wrath; I wasn’t going anywhere. Those were the years I prayed and prayed for Axel to find his way back to me… but I
eventually had to face the facts… my hero was gone.”

Denise is a smart girl and doesn’t come by herself, she brings some serious muscle. Enter the HUGE and gorgeous Greg Cage, Marine and Security Advisor. G takes a protective attitude towards Denise and Izzy. 

They try to put Izzy back together and happy. This is a full time occupation for all of them. But ass-hat Brandon will just not go away. He is like a bad rash that just flairs back up at the worst time! G is determined to find the cure for Brandon at any cost.

G calls his Marine brothers and Security Advisors, Cooper, Maddox, Beck and Reid. They will solve this mess and save his Izzy.

But who does Izzy belong too? 

So many things happen after they come to help out that you're sucked into the book even more.

There are no cliff hangers for Axel and Izzy, the next book in this series is Cage's book and I fell for him too!

I have a love/hate relationship with trilogy books.

1. I have no patients whatsoever...None!
So waiting on the series to finish is truthfully excruciating for me.

2. I love following the story and learning more of what makes my favorite characters who they are.

3. I read at a speed that I can’t even use our local libraries.(Again see #1)

4. It seems like an eternity before the series is complete (Again see #1)

5. Then sometimes… you get disappointed at how the story ends.
Maddening as all hell… CRAZY MAD!

“This Man Confessed” is not one of those books.

THANK THE LORD of the manor for that!

I love Jesse even though he makes me crazy mad sometimes! The final book is a great finish to an incredible trilogy. But now I am suffering from Jesse withdrawal.

The book embraces all the necessary characteristics to make a great story and a solid finish.
I loved finding out more about Jesse and his past and seeing how Ava would deal with all of that.

Now I am going to caution you... My Kindle was in danger of being tossed out the window at one point! I was as pissed off as a wet cat! But I stuck through it and made it out the other side!

This series is full of extreme hot headedness, hotter sex and a lot of mysteries.

I would put this series on your “must absolutely read list”
